This unrestored cooler is intact but does have two small rust spots on the outside as shown in pics. Pics will also show inside has stains on the bottom. Overall in good vintage unrestored condition. Here is a tough Pepsi cooler to get in this condition especially with an ultra rare original box made by Progress Refrigerator Co 1953. As you can see the color is spectacular for this 67 year old galvanized cooler. There is some light wear and a few minor nicks in the paint. A small crease in the top corner and a very light surface crease on the front. It has the water spout with chain, the chain is not connected to the spout. Has the side bottle opener, handle, revolving locking handle, edge protectors all in near mint condition. Has the galvanized sandwich box with lid. This is large and heavy 19″ W x 12.5″ D x 19 Tall. The original box has some light wear, has all the end flaps as well as all the edge guards with some of the insulation still there. I have had this for 25 years, both cooler and box have been protected in plastic in a non smoker’s home all that time. Coca Cola Coolers are easy to find Pepsi made far less. This is a 1950s red metal picnic cooler made by Progress Refrigerator Co. Beautiful embossed logos on both sides. This measures 18″ long by 13-1/2″ wide by 16 tall. This includes the removable sandwich tray; missing on many coolers. Handles on either side have yellow rubber grips. Condition: Minimal surface rusting on cover and bottom as well as surface scratches. Nothing serious and no rust eating through. I actually prefer collecting items that were used for their intended purpose. Opinion, “character flaws” just add to the value and history of this cooler. This weighs 20 pounds.
