This rare product is a 1950s Hiawatha Chest Cooler made by Coleman in the United States. This rare collectible decor item measures 12″ x 20″ x 8 and has a retro faux leather wrapped design. Exterior is Made of 600 lb. Test water resistant super fiber board that with ordinary care will give years of satisfactory service. Interior is an all-aluminum liner with thick walls of cellulose insulation. It is a lightweight chest style cooler featuring the Hiawatha brand, perfect for collectors or those interested in vintage pieces. Weighs under 9 lb. The cooler is in beautiful condition. Although the corners of the lid have been flattened, the lid does sit firmly on the cooler with flaps that are designed to snap to the wood handles on the sides of the cooler. This vintage 1950s Pepsi Cola blue metal cooler chest includes an aluminum sandwich tray- and wow does it keep things cold! The handle secures the lid, and as it swings down it reveals an opener built into the right side. The front features a screw-off drain, one of the first coolers to employ this feature. Built by Progress Refrigerator Co. This Pepsi cooler features the iconic “Drink Pepsi Cola” logo on both sides of this classic Pepsi blue ice chest. It measures 18″ wide x 16.5″ tall and 13″ long, with the convenient lift-out sandwich tray being 16″ x 10.5. The body is painted steel with an aluminum interior. Some dents on the lid and small white paint flecks on exterior (left in place to preserve originality). Cooler displays beautifully-see photos for details. This is a vintage Coca-Cola metal picnic cooler manufactured by Acton Mfg. Of Arkansas City, Kansas, dating from the late 1940s-1950s. These Acton coolers are highly collectible and feature the classic red finish with white “Drink Coca-Cola in Bottles” lettering. Sturdy metal body with hinged lid and carry handle. Built-in side bottle opener. Drain plug at the base (currently seized in place; I did not attempt to force it). Approximate dimensions: 17? L × 12? W × 17? H. Condition: Overall, the cooler is in very good vintage condition with honest wear consistent with age. Paint splatters : There are small white latex paint flecks on the exterior. I have chosen not to aggressively remove them, as many collectors prefer an untouched, original surface. Dents : Several dents on the lid and top surface; none are severe and they do not affect structural integrity. Drain : Present but currently seized shut; I did not attempt to force it open to avoid damage. Interior : Clean and solid for age. All details are clearly documented in the photos. Really nice condition 1950’s Action Mfg Co Coca Cola picnic cooler stainless steel. The red paint has faded some and common. The cooler is all original and has the tray also. I have included a lot of pictures so you can see the overall condition. They are a few minor dings and minor scrapes on both sides where the handle has hit the sides when opening.
