The Vintage Military Style Green 1940s Galvanized Water Cooler is a unique and nostalgic piece perfect for camping and hiking adventures. & The color is a green – then Gray depending on the light. Looked green when I picked it up at the estate, looks gray in my buildings soft lights, looks more green under light box white light.. I aim to please & don’t want to be misleading.. This is the only one of these in this size I have seen nor could I find one ANYWHERE online like it, other than a smaller version.. My antique appraiser does believe it to be military use. World War 2 era. I will take outside photos in natural light when it stops raining. This antique water cooler, with a capacity of 3-5 gallons, exudes a retro charm with its military-inspired design. Often used on railroads as well. This one was different from any we found searching due to the hardware attached. & Also Google images search says 3 gallon but it’s the size of a 5 gallon bucket.. Again, I will go outside & fill with gallons of water to get the exact capacity as soon as the rains give us a break. The base portion that holds the water (cooler) tank, is over 14 in tall. The entire piece is a little over 17 inches tall. Approximate width is 1 foot. The vintage muted green color adds a touch of vintage authenticity, making it a stylish addition to any camping set-up. Its durable galvanized construction ensures longevity and reliable use for outdoor activities. Ask any questions prior please and thank you. See our many other estate finds.. This is a LANDERS FRARY & CLARK hot or cold food storage container. Three internal food containers intact with lids. One of the lids is a LANDERS, FRARY & CLARK the other two lids are KNAPP-MONARCH CO. Latches are intact and in good condition and work. All parts and pieces are in good serviceable condition. I would use this in my garage for drinks and sometime at the camp site. Looks to be original paint. No massive dents(like some I’ve seen). Please look at the pictures closely for best description. Original Item: Very few available. These are known as Mermite Tactical Military Coolers, which first began production in the 1960s and were manufactured and used through the 1990s. It consists of an insulated outer shell and three internal containers. The internal containers are offered in good to very condition with a capacity of 1.5 gallons of food per container. Therefore, all three containers can hold 4.5 gallons. Highly insulated units are made for military use in order to keep food or fluids hot or cold. It’s a very effective system and can keep ice frozen. The 3 aluminum container lid seals are missing.

This vintage Vietnam-era 1965 Lasko Metal Products military green metal food storage cooler is in very good condition with a very tight seal and functioning locking mechanisms. The military green cooler possesses numerous scratches, as can be seen in the photos, but possesses no rust. The cooler measures approximately 21″ in length, 15 1/2″ in height, and 10 3/4 in width and weighs 14 pounds and 12 ounces.
