Antique Primitive School House Red Wing Stoneware Water Cooler Bubbler on Stand

This is an original antique (early 20th century) Red Wing Union Stoneware water cooler with bubbler or fountain attachment on an iron stand. The water cooler is in excellent condition with absolutely no cracks or chips anywhere, just a discolored film on the inside near the bottom from a liquid that sat in the cooler too long (I don’t know if this can be removed). The spout is securely attached, and the fountain attachment screws securely onto the end of the spout. The water cooler was tested and does not leak, and the spout works as it should. It drains out the bottom, so a bucket or drain is needed to catch the drain water. The stand was not found with the water cooler but resembles a water cooler stand in size, style, and height and works perfectly with it. The round piece of wood on top of the stand is new and bolted securely to the mounting holes on top of the stand. The iron frame has some pitting and surface rust and has acquired a naturally aged patina overall. Nothing is broken, loose, repaired, or missing and the entire piece is sturdy, solid, and fully functional. The water cooler measures 13″ in diameter x 14 1/2″ H and the stand measures 17″ square at the feet x 29 1/2″ H. This all original s uper piece of history comes complete with it’s original stand, the marked top water stoneware crock and lid, original Drip cup/ladel and original bottom drip plate! …… Very rare to find a all original complete set up in this condition! Total height is 46 tall with the water jug on the metal stand. The metal stand has 3 legs and is 29 tall. The jug and lid are 17″ tall, girth of jug is 35.5″. There is a plastic spigot on the front. There is a metal arm with the original stoneware drip catcher that inserts on one leg of the stand. There is the original stoneware drip plate included at the bottom of the stand. This is a hard to find original early 20th century antique metal stand for a stoneware water cooler (possibly from a school house). It has a coating of old black paint, but there is some surface rust showing through and some rust holes near the bottom of two of the feet. There is also a dent on the bottom edge of the small shelf underneath. There are no cracks or repairs anywhere and the stand still feels solid and sturdy overall but could use some restoration because of the holes. The total height of the stand is 27 3/4″, it measures 14″ square at the feet, and the diameter inside the top (the part that holds the crock) is 12 3/4. It’s about the right size for a 5 gallon water cooler, but could be used for a variety of purposes. This is a hard to find original early 20th century antique metal stand for a stoneware water cooler (possibly from a school house). Most of the white paint has worn away exposing bare metal that has acquired a coating of surface rust that will rub off if touched. The stand is still solid and sturdy overall with no cracks, repairs, or rust holes anywhere. All three white glass ball feet are intact on the bottom. Total height of the stand is 28″, it measures 18″ across the feet, and the diameter inside the top ring is about 13. It’s about the right size for a 5 gallon water cooler, but because the leg screws stick inward a bit and the hole might be slightly too large depending on the crock, a wooden insert might need to be added to protect the crock from damage.
