This listing is for a Vintage Pepsi-Cola Soda Ice Box Chest Picnic Cooler Embossed Metal. This cooler is used and it is not in perfect condition. The lid does have a dent and one chrome corner is missing. It measures 17Tall 18×13. All my items come from a smoke free environment. It is illegal to mark the parcel as gift if you paid for it and I cannot lower the paid value so dont ask or assUme. Vintage Knapp Monarch Therm A Chest Picnic Metal Cooler w/Box RARE bottle opener. Vintage red/ coral top with beige bottom Therm-a-chest Cooler Knapp Monarch Co. Louis, USA , near mint condition with original box. Vintage Knapp monarch company therm-a-chest 49-555-B with original box bottle opener and tray…… Original box is in really nice shape for its age. Some water marks on the top & 1 side & some writing….. Cooler has a few minor marks/scratches Here & there as mentioned above. It appears to not be used much if at all…… Owner says she doesn’t recall ever using it. Just stayed in the box stored on a shelf in the basement for many many years. Measures approximately 18″ long x 9 1/2″ front to back x 14″ tall Cooler x 16″ tall with handle latched up….. If it weren’t for the few minor scratches this could pass for new! We did more pics of the cooler than the box figuring the value is more in the contents although having the original box increases its value! Please keep in mind that the Key words vintage so it may have small imperfections! Item in photos is exactly what you will receive! International will be charged accordingly if applicable. Good used condition, this one look nice for it’s age. Some small dings/dents and scratches but overall good looking paint, clean inside and great bottom end. This old cooler is a killer piece of advertising from the 1950’s….. After the realization that soda would sell better if it was chilled, Coca Cola retailers wanted to figure out a way to keep them cold, even before the advent of electric coolers….. At first, it was done by using wooden barrel halves, which were filled with ice…. These barrels would have a wooden lid over them and on the sides, would have the Coca Cola logo stenciled on them, just as this cooler does….. This piece is in beautiful shape, despite having some chips and light rust, its very solid and it even has the original tray….. It measures 18 1/2″ by 13″ and it stands 18 tall….. Measures 17″ x 12″ x 12.75 tall plus handle. I personally never seen a cooler quite like this one I believe it to be a very early Acton Manufacturing model. Appearently the white paint is original and only about 5 exist but it does have a little bit of rust and a couple pin holes in the top.
