Rare Vintage Aluminum Metal Schmidt Beer Ice Cooler Man Cave

You are purchasing a Rare Vintage Aluminum Schmidt Beer Cooler from the early 1950s. This is one of the earliest versions of the Schmidt Beer cooler as noted by the metal drain (later versions included variations such as a plastic drain, padded top, etc). This cooler is in great condition considering it is nearly 70 years old. There are some normal dents, scrapes and stains that would be expected including the top being dented from sitting which is seen on most of these coolers. Overall, it is in very good condition. The hinges for the lid work with no damage. The latches on the sides also work with no damage. The rubber gasket under the lid is missing. There is some black residue around the top edge from the gasket. The inside of the cooler has only been wiped out with water and could probably be made to look a lot nicer. The drain plug cover is missing. Inside dimensions are 19 7/8″ long, 10 7/8″ wide, and 10 5/8 deep. Outside dimensions are 22 1/8″ long, 13 1/4″ wide, and 12 7/8 high. The logos look great. Logo on back side has some black residue that I beleive could be removed. Please see all photos as these serve as part of the description. Not sure of the age of this cooler But WOW it’s pretty cool for sure. Needs a good detail cleaning. Needs a new seal guessing it just got old and dried out. 22 inches by 13 and a half inches by 13 and a half inches Drain plug present. Rust is present but NO cracks in the liner at all, top is discolored, a couple of small dents. The latch for the top works perfectly The handles are in great shape & it includes 2 bottle openers one on each handle and a pick. Vintage 1960’s HAMM’S Beer Aluminum Metal Padded Cooler Ice Chest With Tray

You are looking at a large Hamms cooler. It is 24 wide with handles X 17 tall X 13 deep. I will point out things that might not be noticeable. You can decide the condition. The top has a burn hole on the left back corner. It is the size of an eraser head. There is also a eraser sized hole in the back middle just above the metal. There are rub marks on the front and back sides. On the front upper left there is a small dent. The red open button seems to be pushed in a little. The spout drain plastic fits tight. The vinyl on the handle above is whole and handle works properly. There is a dent on the spout side on the left middle. The back has more rub wear on the Hamms. Small dent on right side above middle. The side without the spout has the red vinyl which is whole and the handle works properly. The gasket while old still looks descent. When closing the lid one side is about an 1/8 out of alignment. It does push back into place. Now that the negatives are out, It is a really cool cooler. Up for your consideration is this great aluminum cooler from the 1950s. It is in great condition considering it’s almost 70 years old! There are some of the normal dents, scrapes and stains that you would expect. I would say overall it is in very good condition. The hinges for the lid work with no damage and also the closures on the sides. There is a small amount of rust on the closures as shown in the last photos. There is some black residue around the top edge from the black rubber gasket under the lid which is deteriorating. The inside of the cooler has only been wiped out with cleaner and could probably be made to look a lot nicer. Inside dimensions are 8 5/8″ wide 18″ long and 11 high. Please look closely at all the photographs and ask if you need more of them. The drain plug does have a crack in the top where it fastens on. The outside dimensions are 19 1/2″ long, 12″ tall and a little over 10 inches across. Notice the great condition of the logos! ………… Thank you for your understanding…….
