They don’t get much better than this! When was the last time you’ve seen one of these COMPLETE! This measures 18″ long by 9″ wide by 11-1/2 tall. Includes the carrying handle along with the rarely found sandwich box insert, measuring 7″ long by 4-1/4″ wide by 9-1/2 tall. Sandwich lid comes off. This closes with a center metal latch. Drink Coca-Cola and Progress Refrigerator Co. Louisville KY embossed on both sides. Cardboard box measures 19″ long by 10″ wide by 12-1/2 tall. Box is stamped: DU QUOIN COCA-COLA BOTTLING CO. Rare coleman picnic cooler upright refrigerator style 1960s aluminum 23×13 rare. This Coleman picnic cooler is really cool. Ive never seen another like it. Cooler is set up as an upright refrigerator instead of the typical sideways cooler. Body is aluminum and has the handles placed high up almost to the top, so it can be transported upright. I assume it worked by putting a solid piece of ice on top so the cold air flowed down. Locking top doubles as a bottle opener. Has red Coleman logo on door. Lower right hand corner of door has a nice dent and shows but the door does function fine and the cooler opens and closes fine as well as lock in place. Measures 23 high, 16 deep & 13.5wide. Very rare baby blue with red lettering. A true collectors piece. Made by Progress Refrigerator Co. Late 50’s early 60’s. Measures 22″ wide 13″ tall 13 deep. Some obvious scrapes and surface rust but this cooler looks super cool. Missing bottom of latch on front. Also front of cooler dented in a little, but does not affect lid closing or sealing of lid. For sale is a vintage Dr. I believe it does not have the correct carrying handle, and as can be seen from the photo, the carrying candle does not lock into the lid handle. Up for grabs is a very rare Dr. Pepper branded 1950’s all-metal picnic cooler WITH top tray! This picnic cooler is in great condition for its age, and ready to be put into regular use! All paint and parts are original. Cooler was manufactured by Progress Refrigerator Co in Louisville, KY. Uite heavy, and VERY well made this cooler is just over 23lbs before adding your beverages of choice! There is a g. Orgeous patina on this piece, with a few small dents, dings, and abrasions from use. Paint has a discoloration spot on the lid and a small run of the same discoloration down one side. Interior and tray is clean and abrasion / dent free! Pictures are of actual item being offered! Exterior total measurements (including locked in position top handle) are approximately 19″ H x 14″ D x 19 W. Interior measures approximately 14″ H x 11″ D x 15.5 W (with tray removed).
