Here is an original 1950s Acton Products Snackmaster cooler. Not restored or reproduced, this is the real deal a great piece of Americana! This wonderful green metal cooler has the famous Snackmaster logo and chef in yellow and measures 17 ½ inches wide by 12 ½ inches deep by 16 ½ inches high. The inside dimensions are: 15 inches wide by 10 inches deep by 14 ½ inches high. The removable tray is INCLUDED and is 2 ½ inches tall in the middle. Judging by the interior, the cooler was seldom used and looks new. The removable metal tray has some slight discoloration but it looks like it came from age, not use. There is a small amount of rust beneath the drain plug and on the bottle opener as well as on the underside seam. The handle and locking bar function perfectly and the bottle cap opener appears to have been rarely used no paint wear. Outside, the paint is clean and bright as are the metal edge caps. I cleaned the unit gently as to maintain the original patina. There are several slight discolorations in the finish that may clean up if a more aggressive cleaner is used. On the top, near a corner, is a small scratch and a small chip near the opposite corner as well as a few small scratches overall. Also, there is a crease that runs along the side, near the bottom. It is about 1/2 inches deep and about 4 inches tall. However, the paint is not damaged at the crease.
