1969 Original Gold Spot Metal Cooler Box. The item for sale in this LOT is an original 1969 stamped Gold Spot advertising cooler box with attached bottle opener and handles. This item would have originally been used for holding another item, we believe some form of government documentations in India as the item is stamped with office and location details marked (stamped Ram Nagar Delhi 1969). This brand of advertising is rare as the Gold Spot Indian beer stopped production many years ago. This item is perfect in form, structure and function. It can be used as a cooler box or a decorative vintage retro item. Size: H 14.5″ x L 18″ x 14 D. Condition: This item has been used over time and therefore shows wear and tear. Its conditions comes in the form of light dents (to the front of the box) faded paint, internal patina and rust and a general vintage used took. A true piece of Americana. This is easily the most interesting piece of vintage Coca Cola advertising I have ever owned. This type of cooler was placed on the counters of places like ice cream shops and gas stations, and filled with ice and bottles of Coke in order to advertise the brand and drive sales. This is a perfect addition to any collector of vintage advertising or Americana. On a personal note, this is one of my favorite antiques I have ever found. This dispenser is in Good condition. The dispenser looks to be in all original condition. I do not see any rusting or corrosion anywhere in the metal of the dispenser. The dispenser does show signs of use with surface scratches and scuffs (please see pictures). The dispense has its original syrup holder mounted on the inside of the dispenser. The dispenser also has its lid. The dispenser has a clamp on bottom to clamp on a shelf or table. The dispenser was made by the Selmix company. The dispenser measures approx. 16 wide by 11 tall by 8 1/2 deep. I took a lot of pictures to sho w you what you are receiving. Please look at the pictures as to the condition of the item. Vintage Rare 1950’s Progress Refrigerator 7up Advertising Cooler Metal

Up for sale is a 7 UP Cooler. Manufactured by Progress Refrigerator Company, Louisville, Ky. I was only able to locate two similar coolers on the internet and they were listed as “A4″ coolers. Dimensions are 13″ high (not including the lid); 19″ across and 9 wide. There is not an inner tray. Dings, scratches, paint loss and some surface rust. Please look carefully at all my pictures because they are my best description of the item. I found the following information about Progress Refrigeration on the internet. Progress was one of the largest mid-century cooler producers, whose designs were made from steel with a galvanized liner to prevent rusting. Some even included a sandwich tray in the interior compartment to keep chilled food from getting wet. The companys standard A1 model was made throughout the 1950s, with reinforced chrome corners and a handle mounted on the lid for easy removal. The A1 fit neatly on top of a unit housing empty bottles, similar to the Glascock Bros. Design, but could be easily removed for transporting or refilling. Progress advertised its portable coolers straight to drink manufacturers, with ads highlighting trends in outdoor recreation and car-based travel. Cars on the highway have hit an all-time high! Hunting and fishing license sales have broken all records! Outdoor livingbar-b-qspicnicsare at the peak of popularity! These trends have created a vast, new market for soft drinks!
