FRANCO LAPiNi SiLVER SCULPTURE LiFE SiZE PENGUiN CHAMPAGNE BUCKET WINE COOLER

Hi, thanks for looking. This is a very rare, life size sculpture of a penguin that functions as a wine / liquor cooler or covered champagne bucket holder. This is a slightly vintage piece handmade in Italy by Franco Lapini. Franco is world famous for his high end luxury goods and one can visit his website by doing a search under his full name. This cooler has a hinged neck and the head flips back to allow for access to a opening where one can put in a full size bottle of your favorite beverage. This can also be used as an ice bucket as there is a plastic liner on the inside of this container. This is in very good condition, as a vintage piece there is a little wear which is normal and to be expected. The head flips back easily and there is a small gap, where the neck connects to the body and it is shown in the photo. If something heavy was to be put inside the head area that might close the gap but it has never bothered us. This is a VERY FUN and cute display piece as well and from a pet and smoke free home. Lapini does make one of kind pieces and special order pieces. He also retires designs as well. So this is Rare and perhaps a ONE of a KIND, but certainly if others of these exist, they do not come on the market very often, if ever. This is an original vintage metal Miller High Life beer cooler in white with a red lid and red printing on both sides. The cooler displays well but has some heavier rust and some rust holes on the bottom surface, especially around the outer edge. And the drain cap is missing from the drain spout on the side. The inside of the cooler is free of holes and rust and is clean with no odor. All visible sides of the cooler look very good with little to no fading and only minor scratches, scuffs, and a few chips in the paint, a couple of which have been concealed with white paint. The handle and both hinges are securely attached and function properly. Outer dimensions of the cooler are 20″ L x 10″ W x 12 H, not including the handle. Very Rare and Hard to Find! Vintage green & white metal Dr Pepper ice chest cooler with the slogan ” Good for Life “. This slogan was used as an advertising logo from 1923 to 1950, so this cooler is either from the mid-twenties, the thirties or the forties. Dr Pepper quit using the slogan’Good for Life’ in 1950. This cooler was made by the Progress Refrigerator Co. Of Louisville Kentucky and was a Pat Pending model. Measures approximately 18 inches long, 12 inches tall and 9 1/2 inches wide from front to back. Cooler is missing one of the bales (handle) on the side and it has some scratches, dings & small dents consistent with age & use. Zoom in on the photos for more details. You are looking at a vintage 1940’s metal can cooler. It is in good shape with just the occasional rust and blemishes expected of something of this age. It does have a few dents and dings, but I tried to take lots of pictures so you can see. This cooler, also comes with the original metal sandwich tray, to keep sandwiches from spoiling.
