The model is 5254-70G. The condition is consistent with age and use. There are some scratches as you can see in the pics. One small ding on the top. Also has the original paper that was inside. I have no idea why the box says “fish cartons” but I can guarantee you nothing smells of anything fishy, box or cooler. RARE Antique 1869 Jewett’s Ice Cold Water Filter & Cooler No. 2 Metal Porcelain
A very rare antique water filter & cooler system in very nice condition – see photos. The cooler has three main parts – a porcelain reservoir bottom, a filter system top and a lid. The two large sections are round metal bodies painted with wood-grain look. Super condition for the brass nameplate. Inside the lid are directions. And the handles have lions head brackets. About 28-1/2 tall overall. Cooler is not tested except I couldn’t get the valve to turn. Top section has a couple strainer parts and a stopper.
