Burgundy metal ice chest/box/cooler looks like it’s from the 1950s or earlier. It was made by Koldmaster. It is about 33 inches in height, about 23 inches wide, and about 16 inches front to back. The upper compartment looks to be galvanized and insulated. It has a drain plug underneath, with a wing-nut valve plug. This cooler has not been tested, but it looks to be intact. There is some rust on the metal – on the outside where the paint has been faded/scratched as well as some discoloration on the galvanized compartment. It will need cleaning, no doubt. It does have some scratches. The top looks like it closes properly with a nice seal. The bottom compartment for storing extra beer, soda, etc. Does not appear to be insulated or galvanized. It does close securely. Both knobs look to be original. The hinges work well. Nice addition for your porch or man cave for barbecues or ball games! And all four wheels work. There are two places on one side where a handle probably used to be. We do not have the handle – if there actually was one – might also have been for hooks, utensils, or a towel rack.
