This is a very cool original JC Higgins Camping Cooler with the original internal container for either ice or dry storage. I’ve never found one with the galvanized metal container still intact or included. The brown paint is obviously worn, but it’s patina is only proof of its age and durability. The surface rust on the bottom is also minimal!! This is a smaller sized cooler-east for carrying and takes up little space in a vintage car or camper! This rare vintage Skotch-Hamilton Skylander ice chest/cooler is in great, used condition for its age. 12″ tall(not including when the handles are up), 20″ wide overall, and 11 1/4 deep overall. 17 1/2″ wide, 10 1/8″ tall, 8 1/2 deep. It comes with a sliding suspended metal tray. It also has an attached bottle/can opener and an ice pick. Small amounts of rust pitting throughout from storage. I will let the advertisement that is taped up on the inside cover explain the rest of the details of the cooler. Two tone brown on the outside and galvanized steel on the inside. It recently came from an estate sale. Excellent piece of the past! Please look at all the pictures as they are part of the description also.
