This is a very cool original JC Higgins Camping Cooler with the original internal container for either ice or dry storage. I’ve never found one with the galvanized metal container still intact or included. The brown paint is obviously worn, but it’s patina is only proof of its age and durability. The surface rust on the bottom is also minimal!! This is a smaller sized cooler-east for carrying and takes up little space in a vintage car or camper! For your consideration, today we have a rare metal traveler beer co cooler with bottle opener on front and a metal latch. It’s used and has a couple of small issues. First, it has a rivet on one hinge that has been punched through since the day it was won in a liquor store raffle. The other hinge has a rivet slowly backing out. It’s slightly raised but has also been this way as far as I can remember. The door does not feel loose or have any wobble. Also, there’s a small dent on one side and a little bit of rust on the bottom (all pictured). Otherwise, it’s a solid, nice cooler with lots of life left.
