Vintage Thermos Oval Cooler Metal Plaid With Original Tray, Handle, And TWO Lids i. From 1950s or 1960s, and pretty darn rare (possibly one of the best surviving examples of this cooler). Looks like a’picnic basket’.. Outside is made of metal, and the inside is plastic; insulated between. In great shape, with some minor blemishes. The bottom has some dark markings (see pictures; I’m not sure if it’s’on’ the surface or’in’ it). Could use a thorough cleaning/polishing. Inside: 12″ long, 12″ deep, and 8 wide (at widest part of’oval’). Outside: 14″ long, 14″ deep, and 10 wide (at widest part of’oval’). Pics are of actual item. Feel free to make offers. This is a super rare find in the green plaid. It is in very good condition for its age. It includes the metal sandwich tray. It measures 15 in x 9 in x 10 inches on the outside. It measures 14 inches x 8 inches x 12 inches on the inside. Vintage items are typically better made and unique, because they were made before fast fashion. Very hard to find rare 1940s Bonnie Green Plaid Metal Ice Chest Cooler W/Handle perfect fir a vintage Car RV Trailer Rallies and shows or general use. Overall condition is typical for its age with some scratches and corrosion (see bottom) but not dented or beat up. No missing parts and handle works fine and is secure and tight. Good overall working condition with neat old galvanized steel interior. Rubber gasket is hard but fits snugly. Since this is basically a rectangular box, it could easily be stripped and repainted to match your vintage car, rv, or trailer. Measures 16×11.5×8.5. This cooler weighs 10 lbs.
